St. Andrew's is hosting the Christian Pastoral Care Association's course
May I Sit With You Awhile
Friday, April 21 from 6:30 pm- 10:30 pm & Saturday, April 22 from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
This course offers pastoral care visitors the opportunity to learn and practice the basics of pastoral visiting. The course is designed to help visitors focus on the needs of the people receiving care. Six workshops feature a combination of information and hands-on practice: Defining Pastoral Care, Pastoral Care Visiting, Developing Listening Skills, Grief & Loss, Ethics, Professionalism & Administration, and Spiritual Practices in Pastoral Care.
The event is open to everyone, and especially those who provide pastoral care in congregations, hospitals, care facilities, hospice and other contexts of ministry.
Refreshments and Lunch will be provided.
The cost: $55.00 (CPCA members), $65.00 (non-members).

St. Andrew's Members and Adherents - If you are interested in attending to become a HomeBound or Hospital Visitor, the cost will be covered through the Pastoral Care budget.
