The St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Choir is a dedicated group of choristers who are committed to providing high calibre music on a weekly basis for the congregation of St. Andrew’s and to God’s glory.

Repertoire is varied and diverse: from Mass settings sung in Latin to contemporary praise and gospel and everything in between--we sing a bit of everything!

At minimum, the choir sings an Introit and Anthem at each service.  On special Sunday’s and services, we can sing more and regularly sing two or three pieces in one service.  The choir also sings a Christmas or Easter Cantata every year, which is always a highlight!

Music Director, Cody Obst, is dedicated to exposing both the congregation and choir to many of the wonderful and talented people in both the congregation and the professional music field in Calgary.  To that end, the choir has collaborated with groups like the Foothills Brass, Quarter Notes Handbell Quartet, Celtic Trio Seancara, Central Memorial High School Band Program, Master’s Singers, and others.  And individuals like Michelle Todd, Michael Hope, Jacqui Lynn Fidlar, Kirill Kalmykov, Gianettta Baril, Tisha Murvihill, and many many more fine Calgary musicians.

In 2009, St. Andrew’s hosted the “Singing the Faith! Presbyterian Choir Festival” which we hope will become an annual event.  There were many churches involved, combining forces to sing in a 100 voice choir which was truly magnificent.
