Christian graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto with a Major in History, and Minors in Philosophy and Religion. After completing his undergraduate studies Christian began attending Knox College and graduated with a Master of Divinity in 2015. For the past three years Christian was serving as an ordained minister for two rural parishes in joint-ministry in New Brunswick with the Anglican Church. In October 2018 Christian moved to Calgary when his wife Maren was called to serve as Minister Children and Youth at Grace Presbyterian Church. In November Christian began serving part-time at St. Andrew’s as our Interim Pastoral Care leader.
"My hope for St. Andrew’s is that all of us want to feel connected to each other in this special community; when that happens we’ll take seriously each other’s concerns and will genuinely want to explore ways of supporting each other. All members benefit when pastoral care flourishes in a congregation. My vision is that through ongoing encouragement and prioritization of this ministry, we’ll have a more comprehensive network of individuals who are constantly aware of what’s taking place in each other’s lives." - Christian Persaud
