Communion Service

Humility takes a certain type of courage.  I am always impressed by the leaders who connect with their own  humanity by listening to others.  The Hebrew Scripture tells of a “powerful” king who has leprosy and must humble himself by listening to servants, and even a foreign prophet.  Deciding to listen and humble himself, Naaman experiences healing.

The command to love your neighbour is shown in word, intention, and in our actions.  The Scripture encourages us that it is not too hard to understand or to do.  It is as obvious as our neighbour.  The Lord is gently guiding us on the way.  No need to complicate things.

Grateful/Thankful/Blessed

A surprise announcement about a potential $40,000 matching gift from an anonymous donor towards our Pave the Way campaign

We truly are so very Grateful, Thankful and Blessed for and by this extremely generous offer from one of our own. This generous act will no doubt have a very positive impact on all of us as together when we respond to this challenge by raising an additional $40,000 beyond current donations in order to receive the matching funds.  To our anonymous "pending donor" we say “THANK YOU for caring so deeply about your St. Andrew’s family and for encouraging and motivating all of us to be as generous as we can possibly be."

Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer

Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer

We aren’t lazy, and we don’t think we’re crazy, but we ARE going to take a little break over the summer with the number of LinX emails that go out.  Rather than every week, we’ll be sending them out every other week.  Starting June 18th, you can look for your LinX emails on:  June 18 / July 2 / July 16 / July 30 / August 13 / and August 27.  Regular LinX emails will start September 3rd.

Camp Kannawin

Camp Kannawin

Camp Kannawin is in the midst of some exciting developments. Faith House, a newly built, heated accommodation, is nearly complete. With six bedrooms and full washroom facilities, it will support year-round use of the camp. The building was made possible through the legacy of Faith Presbyterian Church in Fort McMurray.
In addition, a series of upgrades are underway across the site thanks to support from the Presbyterian Church in Canada. These include improvements to the Ruby Walker Centre, new storage for recreation equipment, and the replacement of several aging buildings. The goal of these projects is to improve functionality, allow for more year round use, and ensure the camp can continue serving future generations of campers, congregations, and community groups for years to come.
If you’d like to support this work, more information is available on the camp website or by reaching out directly. And if you're in the Central Alberta area this summer, feel free to stop by and see the changes for yourself!
