Growing Life Together with God

Sunday, August 21, 2022 - Growing in Faith: "Not Forsaken"

Rev. Peter

The 17th century poet John Donne famously wrote, “No man is an island, entire to itself”. While this is true, for many people they feel deep isolation. Isolation comes in many forms and can be chronic and deep. We will explore the story of Job, his feeling of deep isolation, and the consolation he found in God. In hope we hear him say, “I know that my redeemer lives.” Can God be that for us? Can we be that redeemer for another who is isolated?

Rest and Renewal, Part 2

Rest and Renewal, Part 2

In July, Rev. Geoffrey had time off for rest and renewal.  In August, Rev. Peter had some time off.  Our ministers know the importance of ‘rest and renewal’.  Do all of YOU know how important these are to our physical and mental health?  We hope you do, and that you/your families are able to take some time this summer to do both!!
Be safe, be blessed.

In Memory of Madge Clarke

In Memory of Madge Clarke

Madge Clarke of this congregation passed away on August 10th. Following a long career as an organist, pianist and choir director in several Calgary congregations, she and her husband Earl made their faith home here in our midst. She is missed by the wider faith community of our city.  A private, family-only service will be held.
