LinX Email for March 12, 2025
Mar 16, 2025 - Foxes and Hens

Mar 16, 2025 - Foxes and Hens

Rev. Laurie McKay

Jesus is both feisty and tender.  Harsh with Herod the fox, and longing for Jerusalem to be gathered under his wing - Jesus continues to heal in spite of fear, disappointment, and grief.  Come and follow.

Grateful Thankful Blessed

Grateful Thankful Blessed

Thank you St. Andrew's for participating in our very first "Adult's Time" in the service this past week. The children had so much fun rehearsing and getting ready to show you how to be brave in the face of uncertainty. We hope you all had as much fun as we did!
A special shout out and thank you to Adam Stolee who wrote the script for our play! Adam was inspired to write the script (with the help of his younger brother and sister, Andrew and Sarah) after Rev. Laurie visited church school on February 16th.
I am so grateful, thankful, and blessed to be a part of the children's lives and witness their creativity and leadership skills that come shining through!

FUNd Raising

FUNd Raising

St Andrew’s has a drainage problem in the parking lot. The City of Calgary will not grant us a permit to add more parking spots until the problem is rectified.  A team has been formed to oversee a FUNd Raising campaign to help finance the $150,000 estimated cost to bring the drainage to code and add the necessary parking.
We are calling ALL creative thinkers, CHILDREN & ADULTS, in our congregation to submit a name/title/slogan for our FUNdraising campaign! The deadline will be in early April (date to be decided later this week) and the winner will receive a cash prize of $100.
Submissions may be sent to Cathy Millar at cathyamillar@gmail.com

These questions and YOURS will be explored during the 90 minute class.  Come meet with Rev. Laurie and other elders.  All are welcome.  You can mention to Laurie that you are coming or click here to email your RSVP by CLICKING HERE

Lenten Devotional Guide from St. Andrew’s Hall in Vancouver

Lenten Devotional Guide from St. Andrew’s Hall in Vancouver

St. Andrew’s Hall is pleased to share a free, downloadable Lenten Devotional Guide.  Each day, participants are invited to read a specific scripture and share a reflection and prayer from a member of our community – students, staff, faculty, board members and alumni.
This year, St. Andrew’s Hall marks 70 years of our ministry of educating and equipping missional leaders through teaching, hospitality and witness for Christ’s church of tomorrow, today.  We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with congregations across the PCC as together, we seek to share and show the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in God’s beautiful, yet troubled world.
Many blessings, Ross
