A time for fun... An opportunity for homework help... A place to hang out with friends (even make new friends)... And it is Free. We want to provide a welcoming, safe place for 12 to 16 year old students to chill or get things done. This is not a religious program. Activities will include:
We hope to make The Edge what participants need it to be. This is a pilot project offered one day a week for the fall of 2023. As we learn to provide a meaningful time for participants we hope to expand the number of days The Edge will be offered weekly. As this is a pilot project, we will limit participation to 30 students. We will be evaluating this pilot program weekly with a major review occuring at the end of November. The feedback from participants and parents will be most welcome!
To know who our participants are and to ensure their personal security, we ask parents to register their children for the program. The registration form will be sent to you when we reply to your email referred to below. This program will comply with "Leading with Care", the policy and practices for the protection of children and vulnerable people followed within The Presbyterian Church in Canada.
The Edge will happen in the Upper Room at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 703 Heritage Drive SW. Entrance to the building will be by the door off the parking lot behind the building. It's a 9 minute walk from Woodman Jr. High.
