May 25, 2025 - Coming Unstuck!

May 25, 2025 - Coming Unstuck!

Rev. Laurie McKay

Today we hear of someone who has been ill for 38 years.
Jesus asked, “Do you want to be made well?”
It’s a question for all of us.  What stops us from fullness of life?  What are we prepared to do, if Jesus asks it of us?  What are the mats that keep us stuck?  What or who are we waiting for?

Grateful Thankful Blessed

Grateful Thankful Blessed

Last summer we started a new initiative of having each of our flower beds ‘adopted’ by different people.  Sharing the work load… having opportunities for people to do what they love… win/win for St. Andrew’s and all those green thumbs.  It worked so well last year that we decided to continue this ‘new tradition’
(Andrew Stolee gave a GREAT definition of what a tradition is on Christian Family Sunday during the children’s story - if you weren’t able to be here, you should watch the livestreamed service!).
We are grateful to the following people for stepping up this year to keep our church grounds green and beautiful!!!   Maureen Amos and Phyllis Duncan;  Terry Basaraba;  Noel White and Marianne Attridge;  Rob and Lee Goss;  and Duane and Pat Tritter.
Thanks for blooming where YOU were planted!!

Indigenous 101 - June 20-21

Indigenous 101 - June 20-21

Why does the church emphasize right relations with Indigenous Peoples? Why is the Presbyterian Church apologizing? We didn't personally harm, so why are we seeking reconciliation?
Indigenous 101 is an entry-level workshop offered by an Indigenous Anglican priest and professor at Vancouver School of Theology, Rev. Ray Aldred. Come to this free workshop (by donation only) and enjoy a full learning experience, including lunch, sponsored by St. Giles Presbyterian.
