Rev. Laurie McKay & Rev. Geoffrey Simmins

God promises to put his law within us in a new covenant.  On this Reformation Sunday, we reflect on how a new covenant is lived out in our lives.  Our relationship with God is redefined and refreshed.

Pastor Appreciation Month

Did YOU know that OCTOBER is Pastor Appreciation Month?  Although we shouldn’t wait for a specific month or day to let our ministers know how much we appreciate them, sometimes we need a gentle nudge - a quiet reminder.  Our Ministers work hard, and are dedicated in their efforts to help us grow life together with God, both in this place and in our neighborhoods.
We are blessed with an abundance of amazing ministers ~ Reverends Laurie, Geoffrey, Peter, Fiona, Jean, and Clay.
On Sunday, the children of the congregation presented Laurie with a card expressing their thanks.  They were asked to think of words to describe her ~ here are some of the children’s words:  faithful, loving, funny, kind, amazing, humble, joyful, leader, emotional, and happy!
Do they know her well?   Yes, YES they do!!
And you too, can share a word of encouragement to our ministers in whatever way you are ‘nudged’ to do so - a card, a prayer, a thank you the next time you see them!
So… thank you Laurie, Geoffrey, Peter, Fiona, Jean and Clay - for sharing ‘who you are’ with this faith family.  We are blessed!

Unison for Generations 50+ (formerly the Kerby Centre) is hosting an informative and practical session focused on fall prevention for older adults living in the community.

Cuba Study Tour

Cuba Study Tour

Each year, students from The Presbyterian College travel to Cuba for encounters with the church and culture of that beautiful country. We also invite external participants from across Canada to join us.
Through meetings with seminary students, community leaders, and community organizations we discover what it means for the church in Cuba to be engaged in mission. Through explorations of music, nature, and fine arts, we also discover something of the unique history, identity, and culture of the Cuban people.
Consider joining us for this dynamic week of encounter and growth.
The trip will take place from March 1-8, 2026, and the application deadline is in December of this year.
