January 25, 2026 - Laurie - God is near? YES! Change your perspective.Rev. Laurie McKay Seeing with new eyes, we live differently. Jesus goes to ‘Galilee of the Gentiles’ after the death of John the Baptist. His message sounds similar to John’s message: The Kingdom of heaven has come near! But he speaks to non-Jews, on the border where healing is most needed. We too are living in a time of economic and political transition. Where do you see light breaking into darkness? How do we shine that light onto a troubled world?

Grateful, Thankful, BlessedBelonging What a gift it is to belong! Wikipedia says that BELONGINGNESS is the human emotional need to be an accepted member of a group. Whether it is family, friends, co-workers, a religion, or something else, some people tend to have an 'inherent' desire to belong and be an important part of something greater than themselves. We hear so much these days about church attendance and membership falling, so when we have an opportunity to experience baptisms and people joining our congregation, we CELEBRATE WITH JOY!! And so, on Sunday, January 11th, St. Andrew’s celebrated BELONGINGNESS! |

Nursery Announcement from the Faith Formation Team
StAC has had the benefit of wonderful young caregiver staff in the Nursery for a number of years, enabling parents to comfortably leave their infants and toddlers in the Nursery during service. However, for reasons including demographics and post-covid protocols of new parents, the Nursery has not been utilised by StAC families for a while. Accordingly, the Faith Formation Team has decided to release our Nursery staff until such time as there is a demonstrated need to resume the practice. In the meantime, parents are encouraged to use the Nursery for infant care as needed and can access the service on livestream in the Nursery. We extend our thanks and gratitude to Lilwen Henrichsen and Calysta Payne for their recent ongoing dedication as Nursery caregivers. |

Sudanese Feast - January 25th
For over 25 years, the South Sudanese congregation has been worshiping in the afternoons each Sunday at St. Andrew's. There are now approximately 80-90 people who gather. They worship primarily in Nuer at 1:30 pm. If you would like to experience African worship, you are always welcome! Once a year, the congregation sponsors a feast to share with the morning congregation at St. Andrew's. The feast planned for January 18th has been postponed to January 25 starting at 3:00. You don't need to travel to Africa to get a taste of their culture, their food, and their warm hospitality. Please join us for either worship at 1:30 in the Sanctuary, or just the Feast on January 25 at 3:00 pm in Trinity Hall. |
