February 15, 2026 - The Mysteries of GodRev. Peter Coutts - Transfiguration Sunday The Transfiguration Story of Jesus may be the most peculiar story in the Gospels and the hardest one for us to get our head around. But is the story the problem, or our ingrained way we approach “mystery” today?

Grateful, Thankful, BlessedThis is what love looks like! Words can not express the gratitude we feel. The Meal Train provided awesome meals for Colin and I the past two weeks while I am recovering from a fall. A HUGE thank you to those who delivered us a wonderful dinner. They were greatly appreciated. |

Ash Wednesday Service - February 18th @ 7pm
Ash Wednesday is the first day of the 40 days of Lent that ends on Easter Sunday. Sundays are not included in the count of 40, since every Sunday is a celebration of the Lord's resurrection. On Ash Wednesday we begin a season of reflection, and prayer. We have ashes put on our forehead in the sign of the cross. |

Lent Devotionals
Lent devotions are available for families, adults, and senior adults. There will be devotions that you can pick up in the Foyer starting this Sunday. You also have two online options below. Each week in worship during Lent, the children will hear a story focussing on one of the ‘family devotionals’. The storybook that is read will be placed in the children’s library in the Children’s Sunday School Classroom downstairs, and can be signed out by families any time. Online options for Lenten Devotionals: St. Andrew’s Hall (Presbyterian Church in Canada’s West Coast college) Lenten Devotional Guide offers a daily scripture reading and prayer, along with a theological reflection. CLICK HERE FOR St. Andrew’s Hall Lent Devotional Presbyterian Outlook (Presbyterian Church USA) - this devotional journeys through the Gospel of Matthew - a Gospel shaped in conflict, fragile community and deep disagreement - and invites readers to follow Jesus with humility, courage and faithfulness when the ground feels unsteady. It contains a daily Scripture-based reflection, reflection questions and prayers, and a pastoral voice that names the weight without rushing past hope. |

Stars and Wishes
Over the next two Sundays, we invite you to fill out sticky notes in the foyer or send a note to the office (office@standrewscalgary.ca) as part of session consulting with the congregation. These will be grouped, summarized, are reported back to the congregation by Session, so together we implement our vision of being Woven into the neighbourhood, growing disciples who love like Jesus. |

Our spiritual care survey: The people have spoken…and are still speaking!
Last week, we asked you to break the tie between two front-runners in our survey: Listening for God in times of change and challenge, and discussion groups that address where God is in turbulent times. By one vote, the former has nudged out the latter. You can still vote though, either online or with a hard copy (available in our foyer). For more infomation visit:
