Rev. Dr. Patricia Dutcher-Walls - Lent 4

Being Public, Intentional and Explicit about the church’s welcome and inclusion of queer folks in all aspects of congregational life is not simply a matter of our witness for justice but also a matter of how we live out our identity as Christ’s followers.

Grateful, Thankful, Blessed

Grateful, Thankful, Blessed

To each and every one of you… THANK YOU!

On Sunday, March 8th St. Andrew’s celebrated 2025 and looked forward to 2026 at our Annual Congregational Meeting. Debby Dorcas, Clerk of Session, thanked the congregation for their support this past year.

So now as we say THANK YOU,
know these words come from a special place
To each and everyone one of you.
YOU - a reflection of God's love and grace.

Thank you all ~ for all you do ~ each and every day.
Isn't it great that we get to choose?
We don't all have to serve the same way.

Some people serve with energy, some people with a smile.
Some of you spend hours here, some just a little while...

Best to lock any valuables in your trunk.

Best to lock any valuables in your trunk.

Churches are not immune to car break-ins!

A car in our parking lot was broken into last month. A reminder that you may want to ensure any valuables are in your trunk and out of sight! Better safe than sorry.

So let’s “Play Ball!!!”

So let’s “Play Ball!!!”

This is an activity for all ages during Lent and if you haven’t picked up your ball yet please take one from the bowl at the Welcome Desk in the foyer. Everyone is encouraged to Play Ball by demonstrating “love for one another” and “love for neighbour” over the coming weeks as Jesus commanded. To participate all we ask is that you engage in completing at least one act of kindness (or more!) for someone in your community. This can be someone you know or a complete stranger — all we ask is that your act of kindness involves someone outside your own family and outside our church family.

On Sunday April 19 we want everyone to bring their ball to church. We will provide pens and ask you to write on your ball one special thing you did to share God’s love during Lent. We will read out a few of them during the Children’s Time. Please remember — the Ball is in Your Court. How far can God’s love be spread through us? It is time to take action so “Let’s Play Ball!!!”
