May 31, 2026 - Holy Moses!

May 31, 2026 - Holy Moses!

Rev. Laurie McKay

Today the children will tell the story of Moses in Adult time. And the adults will consider the bigger story and the broader themes of call, God’s character and salvation through the Red Sea. This is a big story! How will it strengthen our faith in a big God?

St. Andrew’s Ukulele Troupe

On Sunday, May 17th Rev. Clay and St. Andrew’s Ukulele Troupe helped lead us in morning worship. This is a group of music lovers who work hard - but have FUN together - and take seriously the command in Colossians 3:16 to “teach another through psalms, hymns, and song from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.”
We are grateful to you ~ keep teaching, singing, having fun, and sharing your gift of music with us.

Deb

Sarcopenia - How many know what this means???

Sarcopenia - How many know what this means???

Sarcopenia is age-related progressive loss of muscle mass. As we move into Calgary’s it’s-great-to-be-outside season, here are a few tips for physical activity, especially for folks who are aging:

  • Know what to expect. Don’t compare yourself with younger people. Everyone is unique and ages differently.
  • Move mindfully: Exercises that incorporate mindfulness with balance and movement can improve strength and help prevent falls and fall-related fractures.
  • Make it part of your daily routine. Even a short time being active makes a big difference.
  • Keep it fun. Lots of things count as exercise, including dancing, gardening, or housework.
  • Set realistic goals. Everyone is different and what works for one person might not for another.
