Advent 1: Hope - Dr. TimNovember 28, 2021 – 10:00 am Sunday Worship Service Advent is a time for telling the truth—the truth of our weariness, worry and anxiety—but also the truth of God’s goodness and abundance which opens up futures that seem shutdown. In Advent we open ourselves to receive the power of God that is the antidote to our fatigue and cynicism—this week Jeremiah trains us in HOPE. A message from Stephen Ministries
This article by Stephen Ministries’ founder, Dr. Kenneth Haugk describes a powerful way to care for those who are grieving during the holidays: reminiscing about their lost loved one. It offers practical tips for how to give this gift of remembering in ways a grieving person will most appreciate. Feel free to share this article with others in your congregation and community. It can be a great way to help them offer care when they encounter people who are struggling with grief over the holidays. Blessings, Judie Coleman
