Growing Life Together with God

StAC LinX Newsletter for Apr 6, 2022
April 10 - Palm Sunday - Walking with Jesus: The Crowds Rejoice - Rev. Geoffrey

April 10 - Palm Sunday - Walking with Jesus: The Crowds Rejoice - Rev. Geoffrey

In this final week before Easter, our scriptures describe the joy-filled crowds who surrounded Jesus on his way up to Jerusalem. Waving palm branches, they declared that Jesus was Messiah, the Anointed One of God. As we remember that happy occasion, we are invited to ponder our own response to Jesus’ question,
“Who do you say that I am?”
To prepare for this Sunday's service,
you can read  Luke 19: 28 - 40

During Sunday Worship, here are activity sheets (based on today’s scripture reading) for all ages and stages:
3+   7+   Youth    Adult
Please join us for in-person worship at 10:00 Sunday morning or use the link below which will be updated Sunday morning by 9:30 am to take you to our live streamed service.

Outside the city walls stands the weeping tree. In silence she lifts her weary arms against the darkened sky.

Outside the city walls stands the weeping tree. In silence she lifts her weary arms against the darkened sky.

Please join us in person or livestreamed for our Good Friday Service at 10:00 am on April 15th

The Weeping Tree is a poignant rendering of the cross that uses beloved hymns, newly composed music, thoughtful narration and simple sacred symbols to create a touching testament of grace on Good Friday. The St. Andrew's choir will be joined by violinists Sara and Rena Far, and percussionist Malcolm Lim, to bring this favorite of St. Andrew's back.

We are blessed to be an Easter people!

Frederick Beuchner says, “The symbol of Easter is the empty tomb. He (Jesus) rose. For believers and unbelievers both, life has never been the same again. For some, neither has death.
