Growing Life Together with God

St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church
StAC LinX Newsletter for Apr 20, 2022
April 24 - We Are The Sent - Rev. Peter

April 24 - We Are The Sent - Rev. Peter

We begin our series “The Church in the Belly of the Whale” where we will reflect on our calling in mission. Just as Jonah wanted to avoid at all costs his calling in mission, we can be reluctant and anxious about our own calling in our time.
To prepare for this Sunday's service,
you can read  John 20: 19 - 31, Jonah 1

During Sunday Worship, here are activity sheets (based on today’s scripture reading) for all ages and stages:
3+   7+   Youth    Adult
Please join us for in-person worship at 10:00 Sunday morning or use the link below which will be updated Sunday morning by 9:30 am to take you to our live streamed service.

Red Dress Day - May 5

Red Dress Day - May 5

Red dresses represent the more than 1000 missing Canadian Indigenous women, girls and Two-Spirit people.  Why red?  An Indigenous friend explained that it is the only colour that spirits can see. It also represents lifeblood, and the gendered and racialized nature of violent crimes against Indigenous women.
St. Andrew’s and the Mission Team will be acknowledging Red Dress day on May 5th.
How can you help St. Andrew’s mark this day of solidarity?
 - by wearing red (and posting it to social media if you’re tech savvy)
 - by hanging a red dress or red ribbon in your window or yard
- by checking out more details on our Events Page [HERE]

All of these words describe how we feel about our Director of Music Ministries, Evan Mounce, and our Worship Leaders.

We have had such affirming feedback about our Good Friday service (The Weeping Tree musical); AND the music we enjoyed Sunday morning for Easter worship.  Evan, we are so very grateful for your music leadership here at St. Andrew's!
These words also describe how we feel about our Worship leaders:  Rev. Peter, Rev. Geoffrey, and Lori-ann. For all you do for us, and with us - we are thankful.
Blessed are we!!
