Growing Life Together with God

Sunday, JULY 10 Stories of Jacob - The Big IF

Rev. Peter

This Sunday’s story prompts us to ask of ourselves, “How much do I want God to act on my terms?” If we give this question a few moments reflection, we might be surprised by our answer. In the end, it’s all about who we want to be in charge. Put another way: do we want to live our lives in God’s image, or do we want God to live in our image?

Thankful, Grateful, Blessed

Thankful, Grateful, Blessed

Green thumbs, caring hearts, nimble fingers…
and other assorted body parts.

As someone who can kill a weed, I am so VERY appreciative of the skilled gardeners/pruners who have devoted hours this summer to tending our flower gardens, pruning trees, and helping us appreciate the beauty of God’s creation.
Thank you to Sheri Coutts, Pat Tritter, Lynn Judd, Duane Tritter, and Bill Judd for your green thumbs and caring hearts.
Also to Maureen Amos and Joan Rowe, who noticed some painting needed to be done on the steps to ensure the safety of those using them, thank you for your nimble fingers and caring hearts.
You are ALL appreciated!!
~  Debby, on behalf of the entire congregation!

The Wider Community

The Wider Community

Many of us have an extra tube of toothpaste ~ sometimes 2 or 3.  And maybe we picked up a couple of bottles of shampoo when they were on sale.  Our cupboards may not look like the shelves in the pharmacy or store, but to someone who can’t afford daily hygiene essentials, that’s probably what it would look like to them.
