St. Andrew’s Annual Family Camping Weekend

will be going ahead, and COVID Captains will ensure all social distancing protocols are strictly followed to ensure everyone’s safety (see safety information at the end of this announcement).

Come share a weekend of fun, fellowship and worship together!

When? August 28 - 30, 2020

Where? Grouse Group Site at Bow Valley Campground (same as last year - great group camping site!)

Cost: $70.00 per family for 2 nights

Contact: Please RSVP Craig Murray at cicsmurray@shaw.ca

If you aren’t a camper but would like to share in the fellowship, you are welcome to join for the day on Saturday, or come for Sunday morning worship with Rev. Jared at 10:00 am.  For safety reasons, anyone joining for the day (Saturday or Sunday morning), is  required to RSVP as well. People will be responsible for their own food and beverages ~ firewood will be supplied.

Safety Protocols: We will have clear rules about social distancing, no sharing of food or utensils, each familybringing ample hand sanitizer and cleaning wipes, wearing of masks where social distancing is challenging, frequent reminders on the sanitizing of hands (especially after the use of shared washrooms) and the restriction of activities to those which require minimal contact. We will have a couple of people act as “COVID Captains” who will be responsible for ensuring that these protocols are adhered to throughout the weekend. The COVID Captains would be responsible for asking prospective campers the following screening questions, prior to arrival, to ensure we (St. Andrew’s) has done its due diligence:

  • Have you travelled outside Canada in the past 14 days?
  • Do you have any COVID 19 symptoms? (new cough, weakness, loss of taste or smell, fever, difficulty breathing, chills, etc.)
  • Have you had close contact in the past 14 days with a person who has COVID 19 or is being tested for COVID 19?
  • Additionally, each family is asked to make their own risk assessment before attending – i.e. considering their own health, the vulnerability of any of their immediate family members and their anticipated contact with people after the weekend. We hope you can join us August 28 - 30, 2020, and look forward to seeing you there!
