Worship is the primary way in which we give praise to God, and better understand the implications of God’s Word for our lives. God is revealed and celebrated through Word and Sacrament, music, praise, grace and community. We encounter God in repentance and thanksgiving, salvation and service, and in redeeming love and relationship. Through meaningful worship the life of God is grown in us.
In community, we offer opportunities to learn together and practice behaviours that deepen our experience of God. As we Grow Life Together with God we share, support, encourage and nurture one another to grow as disciples who love like Jesus in order to build a strong community of Christians who are woven into the neighbourhood.
The goal of our worship team is to ensure that services are carefully planned and conducted to provide meaningful, creative and thoughtful worship experiences that invite us to experience God’s glory and nourish the spiritual growth and transformation of our members. Knowing that we cannot meet the worship needs of each person all of the time, the work of the Team is carried out with prayer, care and sensitivity.
Music is a vital part of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Whether you sing or play an instrument, or just have a love of music, there is a place for you within the Music Ministries. All are welcome.
