At this time of year, we often look for more opportunities to respond to Jesus’ call to show love and compassion, to give generously as we are able to help those in need. This year, St. Andrew’s is offering several ways you can respond. |

Celebration of Baptism and Profession of FaithSUNDAY, JANUARY 11, 2026 AT 10:00 AM Have you felt the nudge to be baptised? Whether as an infant, teen or adult, we can hear the call to be held by God's grace and welcomed into the community of faith. The Presbyterian Church recognizes all baptisms so if you have been baptized, you are already part of God's Family of Faith. Christians baptise in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - just as all Christian baptisms - whether Roman Catholic, Baptist or United.
If you have been baptised as an infant, you may feel the nudge to made a profession of faith as a teen or adult. This is a way to mark your decision to grow in faith further.
On January 11th, the church remembers that Jesus was baptised, and on that Sunday, anyone wishing to be baptised, or profess their faith, are welcome to do so. We will be having a class for anyone who has not already met with Laurie, on JANUARY 10TH AT 10 AM. This is an opportunity to learn what it means to be Presbyterian and a member of St. Andrew's by profession of faith. All are welcome. Please let the office know so we can have plenty of refreshments!
Please pray for those preparing for baptism and profession of faith.

Let’s Journey together: Christmas 2025 at Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries
Christmas can bring stress as well as joy. Earlier this fall, we offered an eight-week series focusing on mental health, with resources graciously provided by Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries. In a new video offered to Sanctuary Ministries, musician Orlando Palmer encourages us to be real and honest about our own mental health journeys—and to remember that Christ is here with us for every step of our journey.

Reflecting on our Sudanese Congregation Celebration this past Sunday
For over 25 years, the Sudanese congregation has gathered for Sunday worship at St. Andrew's in the afternoon. On December 14th, approximately 100 people gathered to celebrate the purchase of choir gowns for their youth choir. After fundraising for half a year, we blessed the robes, the singers, and the songs! Rev. Laurie preached and led communion with the elders of the congregation, and then we shared a feast prepared for the occasion. Other Nuer-speaking congregations and pastors from the Nazarene, Lutheran and Anglican communities were also present. We celebrate that there were 35 in the youth choir and there are the same number in the children's choir!
SAVE THE DATE!
The Nuer congregation of St. Andrew's invites the morning congregation to join in a special celebration on January 18th. The service begins at 2:00 pm and the meal at 4:00 pm.
We celebrate that Christ is present in all cultures, times, and places. We are one in Christ.
