April 5, 2026 - Easter SundayRev. Laurie McKay Resurrection is about new life and a new way of being in the world. In John’s gospel, Mary doesn’t recognize Jesus until he says her name. At that moment, Mary's eyes were open. Jesus is revealed and the impossible is made real. Jesus is risen! This is Easter love. Come and experience the grace and invitation of Easter.

Grateful, Thankful, Blessed
We are grateful for Rev. Dr. Patricia Dutcher-Walls joining us on March 14-15 as we continue our work of being Public, Intentional and Explicit (P.I.E.) about including ALL people into our church family. During the Saturday workshop with Pat, each of us was encouraged to create an "elevator speech", or short statement about why being inclusive is important to us. Here's one powerful statement that came out of the workshop: |

So let’s “Play Ball!!!”
This is an activity for all ages during Lent and if you haven’t picked up your ball yet please take one from the bowl at the Welcome Desk in the foyer. Everyone is encouraged to Play Ball by demonstrating “love for one another” and “love for neighbour” over the coming weeks as Jesus commanded. To participate all we ask is that you engage in completing at least one act of kindness (or more!) for someone in your community. This can be someone you know or a complete stranger — all we ask is that your act of kindness involves someone outside your own family and outside our church family. On Sunday April 19 we want everyone to bring their ball to church. We will provide pens and ask you to write on your ball one special thing you did to share God’s love during Lent. We will read out a few of them during the Children’s Time. Please remember — the Ball is in Your Court. How far can God’s love be spread through us? It is time to take action so “Let’s Play Ball!!!” |
