June 1, 2025 - Say Yes to GodRev. Geoffrey Simmins The jailor responsible for watching over Paul and Silas, who on seeing their miraculous release from prison asked to be baptized, and had his family baptized at the same time, had the right idea. The trusted servant of the Queen of Ethiopia also chose to be baptized without delay. There is no time like the present to say yes to God.

Grateful Thankful Blessed
This coming Sunday Rev. Geoffrey is going to preach a sermon entitled ‘Say yes to God’. It seemed to be an appropriate week to say THANKS to all who say YES as you are able. This week Rev. Laurie and Lynn Judd head to Hamilton, Ontario to serve our congregation as participants at the 150th General Assembly. Rev. Laurie has convened the Committee to Advise with the Moderator this year, and will present the report and host the Prayer Room; Lynn Judd is a commissioner from Calgary-Macleod Presbytery and the Representative Elder from St. Andrew’s. We are grateful to them for serving in this way, and pray they have a productive and enriching week. There are many, MANY of you who say YES to God each and every day as we seek to grow life together in this place. |

Each day of our lives, we make deposits in the memory banks of our children.~ Charles Swindoll As part of our Mother's Day tradition, we celebrated our graduating Grade 6 students by gifting them The Message—a contemporary version of the Bible that combines the authority of God's Word with the rhythm and energy of everyday language. This year, we congratulate Inara Barrett, Charles Boehm, and Eleanor Hume on their graduation from Grade 6. Charles was present in church on May 11th to represent the class. While we have no students graduating from Grade 12 this year, two of last year’s graduates took a gap year and have now made plans for further study – Marcos Aburto at UBC and Kierra Huthersall at U of C. We wish them well! |

Indigenous 101 - June 20-21
Why does the church emphasize right relations with Indigenous Peoples? Why is the Presbyterian Church apologizing? We didn't personally harm, so why are we seeking reconciliation?
