Sep 28, 2025 - Narratives of HopeRev. Laurie McKay & Rev. Dr. Jean Morris With the approval of the General Assembly, the Assembly Council Working Group on Narratives of Hope and Possibility continues its work, focusing on, among other tasks, identifying a narrative that will amplify the hope and possibility the PCC believes God intends for our denomination. John 20 and 21 have been chosen as a foundational narrative needed for the PCC now and in the future - “Jesus shows up” and “Jesus sends us”— have emerged as clear ways to imagine God’s desire and direction for the church. This Sunday Rev. Laurie McKay and Rev. Dr. Jean Morris will share narratives of hope and possibility with us.

A person experienced a medical incident during last Sunday's worship service
Emergency medical services were contacted immediately. Care connector (Barbara Kearnes) and Shepherd (Sean Pepper) stayed with the person until the medical team arrived. Assistance was also provided by Dolly Forcade and Rev. Geoffrey. The person was able to return home Sunday evening. It is good to be able to report on a positive outcome to the incident. We wish to thank the people who provided such caring assistance during this medical emergency. |

Congrats to Hugh & Elspeth McFadzean!!!
What does ‘60’ bring to mind? There are 60 seconds in a minute, and 60 minutes in an hour. 0-60 mph is a standard measure of an automobile’s acceleration. 60 is the smallest number that is evenly divisible by every number from 1 to 6. All interesting facts, but why are we talking about 60? Well, 60 also marks the diamond anniversary for 60 years of marriage. And this past week, Hugh & Elspeth McFadzean celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Congrats, CONGRATS on this significant milestone! It is indeed something to be celebrated!!! |
