Nov 23, 2025 - Intergenerational Musical
On Sunday Nov 23, people of all ages here at St. Andrew’s will be sharing ‘Gloria’s Christmas’, a story in words and song. We will hear of Gloria’s adoption into a family where she is cherished and loved. As Christians, we can relate to that, knowing that we ALL have been lovingly chosen by God, and together we’ll celebrate what it truly means to belong.

November 24, 2025 - Life after Loss Service: Seasons of Hope
7:30 pm - Rev. Geoffrey and Life after Loss Team As Christmas approaches, with its message of new life and new beginnings, it is sometimes difficult to find reasons to hope. This is particularly true when we have experienced a loss in our families and friends in recent times. In this service, we provide space for grief while also providing a space for hope and new beginnings. |

SURVIVING THE HOLIDAYSA GRIEFSHARE PRESENTATION The holidays can be stressful and exhausting even on the best of times. There are many expectations placed on us to be busy, joyful, excited and happy. Grief can make the holiday season more challenging, by amplifying feelings of loss, whether that loss is recent or years ago. A loved one’s absence can serve as a painful reminder and inevitable reality check. For more infomation visit:

Please read below about "Self-care"
|

Self-care
Christians are told to love God, their neighbours, and themselves. Sometimes, we forget the third part of this Trinitarian formula—to love ourselves. Taking care of ourselves—we call it self-care—is not selfish. It’s essential if we are to be able to give to others, and to be available to what God calls us to do and to be. Many sites focus on self-care. The blog linked below, from the Canadian Mental Health Association, provides some helpful reminders about what self-care is and is not. Christmas Carol Singalong at Westminster Presbyterian
Do you miss singing some of the old carols? It seems like there's not enough time to sing enough Christmas songs in church, and the Christmas radio stations largely play secular Christmas music. Last year, we hosted our first old-fashioned Christmas Carol Singalong at Westminster, which gave everyone a chance to belt out some of the old favourites. It was a fun evening, and those who attended asked for more! We'll be singing them in accessible (slightly lower than usual) keys, and will have a bit of fun with the Hims of Praise and some guests. Please come along at 6:30 on Friday, December 5, for an hour or so of singing together, and kick off your Advent/Christmas season with joy! |
